Physical Therapist Assistant (Entry Level - 2+ yrs experience)

The rehab and physical therapist is a crucial position in our outpatient orthopedic, multidisciplinary facility. This position is reasonable for the assessment and evaluation of patient care needs related to functional status/mobility, endurance/stamina, pain, and other medical conditions.
Essential Duties:
Evaluate the patient's functional status and physical rehab needs
Assists the physician in the development of a therapy plan of care
Identifies patience goals and needs
Creates fitness and wellness oriented programs tailored to patients specific needs
Performs interventions aimed at improving and enhancing the patient's well-being
Evaluates the patient's progress
Motivates patience during treatment in order to help them function optimally
Promotes clients' healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and pain management
Observes and reports the patients response to treatment and any changes in his/her condition to the supervising provider
Documents patient care services throughout the treatment
Prepares a written discharge summary and or a written summary report on patients condition at least every 60 days
Follows protocols exactly
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent Microsoft office suite knowledge and skills
Excellent communication skills verbal, written and listening
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to effectively establish and maintain relationships both internally and externally
Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities, ages and issues
Displays compassion with patients
Excellent dexterity and physical stamina
Creative thinking
Licensure Requirements: Active state of Colorado license and physical therapy, physical therapy aide/assistant Current CPR certification required
Education / Experience:
Associates degree or better in a field related to health science, exercise, or sports
Physical Therapy Assistant / Aid
Board certification through the American board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS) is a plus
Experience in:
o Rehabilitation
o Massage Therapy - a plus. Not required
o Acupuncture a plus. Not required
o Regenerative Medicine - a plus. Not required
o Neuropathy - a plus. Not required
